Standard High School

 

The Standard Program at GWIS is a traditional high school program that satisfies basic high school requirements for admission to colleges and universities. It also prepares the student to take the ACT, SAT or TOEFL exams. Students in the GWIS Standard High School Program must complete a minimum of three courses every six months to remain in the program. In order to complete the program in four years, a student should complete at least six courses every six months.

Complete 5.5 credits of elective courses. An elective course is any course that is offered that has not previously been taken. Elective courses are included in the curriculum to provide each student with the opportunity to explore areas of interest not included in the core curriculum. Choose elective courses carefully. They should teach an understanding and appreciation of arts and skills.
